Main switch:

- Ways of using the switch: single click (push and release), double click (push and release 2 x shortly within 0.5 seconds), keep switch pushed (push and not release for a certain time). The different ways of using the switch are associated with different functionalities.
- General switch/app logic: Direct Control overrides switch and vice versa, also when lamp is connected with app.
- Direct turning off and memory function: When a light function (any basic lamp mode) is selected via the physical switch, any further click on the physical switch within 5 secs will prompt the lamp to cycle to the next light function (or to turn off, when the end of the switch program sequence is reached). Any further click on the physical switch after 5 seconds pause will prompt the lamp to turn off directly. In this case turning on the lamp again will result in activating the last set light function, thanks to the memory function.
- Activate special function: Double click on the main switch will prompt any programmed special function to start. Any further click on any switch will prompt the lamp to return to the previous selected light function. As a default factory setting the special function “Boost” is assigned to all HF8R models. For HF8R Core and HF8R Work models other special functions than Boost can only be assigned after purchasing the app upgrade. For all HF8R Signature models the app upgrade is already included.
- Factory reset: keep pushing the main switch for 8 sec. or selecting “Factory reset” in “Device settings” via app will set back the lamp to factory settings. Any stored individual switch profile and timer will be deleted from the lamp, but can be restored via app. The factory reset may also be applied in case of an unexpected failure.
- Direct red light activation: When the lamp is turned off, keep pushing the main switch will always prompt red light to turn on directly, except when Transportation Lock is activated.
- Transportation Lock activation/deactivation: When HF8R is turned off, keep pushing the main switch for 5 seconds until the flood light blinks 2 times will activate Transportation Lock. It will prevent the HF8R to accidentally turn on, e.g. when the lamp is transported in a backpack. When the switch is pushed in Transportation Lock, flood light blinks 2 times to indicate Transportation Lock is still activated. Keep pushing the main switch for 5 seconds until the flood light blinks 2 times will deactivate Transportation Lock.
- Focus Wheel (Digital Advanced Fokus System):
- Turn the wheel in any direction to select any focus step between flood and spot. Full spot and full flood position is indicated by 2x blink of the main light source and vibration.
- The Digital Advanced Focus system will not work during transport lock or when adaptive light beam is activated.
